Dry Grass

Dry Grass

When driving by or looking around in California, I often see big and small hills covered in yellow.

Up close, this yellow covering is actually dry grass stalks. They make some pretty satisfying swishing noise. Some shrubs and wildflowers grow between the stalks as natural decorations.

Once I stood on a hill looking down, I saw waves forming as the wind shook each individual grass stalk. It was very interesting to watch! Each place has its own unique features.
